Railway FAQs
Railway or Render?
Both run apps, workers and databases from GitHub with little setup. Railway bills by the resources you use and is quick for trying things; Render has a fixed monthly price per service. We pick based on your traffic and how you prefer to pay.
Is Railway fine for production?
For many small and mid-sized apps, yes, once backups, environments, alerts and spending limits are set up. We’d move to AWS or Google Cloud when you need services or controls Railway doesn’t offer.
Can you host n8n on Railway?
Yes, with Postgres for its data, so workflows and credentials survive restarts and deploys.
